Since last year, The Bangalore School of Music and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) has been celebrating a unique two-day festival of classical guitar in the southern Indian city of Bangalore by honouring four different artistes from around the world and India. The festival promotes the musical wave of guitar music through concerts, masterclasses and workshops by these reputed artistes along with a beautiful show of young talents in the competition. Guitarists of diverse age groups are invited to participate in the many activities of the festival.

This year too, we are absolutely excited to announce this continuing celebration which gets even bigger!  With the addition of music stalls, guitar clinics and lectures on guitar care and maintenance by well-known guitar-makers, the event is getting more informative and interesting.

Please check our Artistes page for further information on our honoured artistes for the year! We have grand maestros Roberto Aussel & Gerard Abiton performing for us and maestro Leon Koudelak giving masterclasses for the participants! Our very own Indian guitarist-composer Santanu Datta along with people's  favourite  Aditya Gandhi will be taking the stage!

Korean master-luthier Young Seo will be presenting his "Special" model hand crafted guitar for the winner of the Open Category!

Further announcements will be made on more artistes and the prizes for this year and will be updated here very soon  along with the list of our recent addition of valued sponsors.

So come and join us this 11th & 12th of June at The Bangalore School of Music. Come and listen to the beautiful music, meet up with old and new friends, learn something new and interesting, and develop your skills with lessons from these world renowned artistes. Do come and enjoy the Bangalore summer too!
